Business in West China - SARIO opened the door

On March 17 Slovakia Day took place in Chengdu, capital of China's Sichuan province. 40 representatives of local companies, industrial associations, political elites and national Chinese media were organized together by SARIO with kind support of EUPIC and sponsorship of HSBC 6 weeks after the launch of SARIO's first foreign office in Chengdu. Peter Hajas, SARIO's CEO, introduced SARIO's China strategy. Provincial government's representatives expressed explicit support to Slovak companies. H.E. Chen Jianfu, Ambassador of China to Slovakia, presented Slovak investment environment and encouraged Chinese companies to make use of opportunities in Slovakia. H.E. Zigmund Bertok, Ambassador of Slovakia to China, conveyed in representation the possibilities for mutual cooperation. SARIO acquainted the participants with the Banska Bystrica region as an ideal investment destination, with its industrial parks, business partners and infrastructure investment projects. In the afternoon SARIO presented IT and automotive/engineering sectors in Slovakia together with Slovak companies who ordered SARIO's matchmaking services. SARIO's representatives found them potential business partners for upcoming negotiations and agreed with local associations to mutually orgainze investment and trade missions in the next months.
